Saturday May 21st started bright and early with the sun beaming into our windows and our 9 year old ready for more fishing at 6am. Breakfast service started at from 8:30 am and everyone, but the bride who was in seclusion in the Bridal cottage, came to eat.
Hair and make-up sessions began at 9am. Peyton and I got to work; starting with lighting set-up by Perkins Productions and tying the pink chair sashes. Sand dollar placecards with beautiful hand calligraphy were placed in sand crates found on Esty. The day was now flying by! Alyssia from Fleur de Lis arrived to decorate the arch and set up the centerpieces. The bridal bouquet was amazing….with soft pink peonies and white & pink roses that were perfect for our princess bride. The bridesmaids who wore black cocktail length dresses carried soft and hot pink bouquets of roses.
After a second shower, it was time to help Samantha into her dress and tie up the corset. Photographer Rich Riggins was busy at work early, capturing details of Samantha’s dress and emotions of the day. A party of 5 bridesmaids, a bride’s man, 6 groomsmen, Maid of Honor, Best Man and Marine Honor Guard made for lots of pre-ceremony group portraits.
At 5:45 the bridal party gathered for the 6:00 waterfront ceremony officiated by Rev William Teyssier. Musicians from Concord Ensemble promptly stared playing the ceremony music at 6 o’clock. I told Brandon earlier that Samantha looked so beautiful she would take his breath away and of course I got the standard “she’s always beautiful” response. When Samantha walked down the aisle on her father’s arm, you could see that she truly took his breath away.
