Event Planner Notes

Thinking back to Memorial Day Weekend, we had been working with Katie and Patrick to plan a wonderful celebration of their love. Katie and Patrick are a very metropolitan couple who met each other in Washington DC. They also love the outdoors! After visiting several venues in the Baltimore area, they feel in love with the Elkridge Furnace Inn. Their wedding weekend started with a rehearsal picnic at Rockburn Park which was catered by “MD Hogg” who brought his big smoker. Along with the standard picnic foods and salads there was also a whole hog! Guests had a blast eating and playing.

On Sunday the atmosphere was much different. At exactly six o’clock, the string quartet began playing Trumpet Tune while Katie was escorted down the aisle by her father. Katie and Patrick exchanged vows they had written to one another. After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails on the grounds and throughout the Manor House…until it was time to get the party started. The band Round Midnight immediately had guests dancing which continued throughout the night. Katie and Patrick asked for an upbeat party - and they got it! From the “cocktail” style seating with iridescent orange and apple green linens to the tapas style menu, their guests had a blast!

Unfortunately this celebration had to end. So along with their guests, Katie and Patrick hopped on board a school bus and were shuttled back to their hotel. Then it was off on their Northern California honeymoon where they planned to hike for ten days.
